we use the term garbanzo bean here in sophisticated california anyway. I'll just think of it as "black garbanzo."

Ooo I must tell Jemima about the chickpeas. She lives in Vejer de la Frontera now. We are going to visit her soon.

Lorenzo, I'll look for a photo. My camera has met its demise now so it'll be one from when we was wee and a bit sickly, but still very cute.
I bet it's much warmer and drier in Vejer than here.
