I moved to Asturias from Cardiff, Wales in December 2004 to 'live the good life' (veggie-style), just call me Barbara. I also work in an 'Academia' in the local town teaching English.
I live in a house over looking the mountains with six rapscallions of cats: Mahou, Beeps, Elbi, Mouse, PC and Cheeky
If anyone would like information about any aspect of moving to and living and working in Asturias, or Spain, please feel free to email me (see my profile page) or just leave a comment on my latest post

Yo R.
Shed shit being written.
Apologies for apparently giving up blogging. Thanx 4 occasional encouragement.
Be happy.
the black chickpea eh? What if you're not a chick? ho ho ho.
we use the term garbanzo bean here in sophisticated california anyway. I'll just think of it as "black garbanzo."
that seems a bit gross, however. I don't think I'd eat one if I came across it. =|
I like your new altered description including that definite raspcallion Cheeky. Still no mention of Samson, Mouse, or PC though :)
Ooo I must tell Jemima about the chickpeas. She lives in Vejer de la Frontera now. We are going to visit her soon.
Wot no photo of Cheeky?
Lorenzo, I'll look for a photo. My camera has met its demise now so it'll be one from when we was wee and a bit sickly, but still very cute.
I bet it's much warmer and drier in Vejer than here.
Meta, no, only permanent members of the household make it to the list I'm afraid.
T-Rex, I'll be over in a bit to check up on this shed post. It better be good after the wait you put us through.
fair nuff, guv.
But she does have SEVEN cats at the mo', everybody, just so you're aware.
