Not laziness this time...

...nor business that´s keeping me from penning more posts. I´ve been ill *cough, sniff, splutter*, and my computer has decided it is too, for the second time this month. I hope it´s not terminal.

Get well soon - both to you and your computer. Assuming that is you can read my message. Summer colds and 'flu are rubbish. At least in winter it sort of fits the weather. Are there any obvious problems I can try and diagnose? (That's your computer, not you by the way.)

Thanks for the get well wishes, both sets of them. Apparently it´s the hard drive on the PC that´s the problem. I´m not sure if it´s worth changing since the rest of the computer - apart from the shiny graphics card - is old and weary. So, I have a choice of paying off what I owe to by the car I drive or buying a new computer, hmmm....

No tickets needed now... put the money into a decent computer?

Whatever happened with the possibility of a grant or loan through the academia?

You really need a new machine. Keep the GFX card though...

Yep, the graphics card is staying. All spare monies are being put into Raelha´s Computer Fund. I´ve just had to cough up over €200 for a new ignition for the car though so the RCF pot is currently empty.

And there are no government grants avaialbe, pah.

Always somefing, innit??

Frustrating, I know. I want to upgrade my "rig" so badly yet a) I have no money, b) I have other, more pressing needs which a responsible person should address first.

Being an adult is first and foremost no fun.

"Anonymous" seems like a quite interesting, if schizophrenic, person... A bit fixated, too, to be honest.

The author of milkhoneyandcider.blogspot.com has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: Cows never said Moo, People only understand it that way Thanks for the info.
