You know you have a good job, part two...

...when your students give you cake:

This is actually a rather late Easter posting - the pic is of a traditional Spanish Easter cake that I was given by the student I give a private lesson to three times a week. He owns a café and makes some rather tasty pastries to which Sue is particularly partial. Going in for a nibble every now and again is getting to be embarassing affair though since it always ends up on the house. It's a hard life we English teachers lead.

Raaay-chelll! (Waves arms madly.)

That does look an incredible cake. What is the chocolatey creature at the top supposed to be? And what type of cake is it? It looks like an enormous profiterole. Or one of Jamiroquai's hats.

Cake!

It´s a squirrel, a very tasty one.

Hee,it wouldn´t have look out of place on JK´s head. It had an almondy filling and the squishy white stuff is meringue, not cream. They like their sugar fixes here.

Hurray! Lorenzo is back. How I´ve missed your comments here. Though admitedly I haven´t been giving you any posts to comment on until recently.

And oh yes, we go for almost weekly nibbles, Sue is quite insistent on it.
